Our visitors will be here for 5 nights from the 17th October until the 22nd
Redcar & Cleveland has been twinned with Troisdorf since 1990 and during the last 34 years there have been many visits to and from Troisdorf by Twinning Association members, as well as school & college students. However, you don’t have to be fluent in German to be a member of our Twinning Association or to take part in any of our visits to Germany or other activities. Many, if not all, of our German friends speak very good English and are usually keen to practice their language skills.
This year our friends from Troisdorf will be arriving here on the evening of Thursday 17th October and staying with host families or at The Spa Hotel in Saltburn for five nights until Tuesday 22nd October.
We have a wide range of day-trips planned for them, as well as an Evening Reception hosted by the Mayor of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and a Sunday Evening meal at the Spa Hotel for all of our German visitors, their host families and Redcar & Cleveland Twinning Association members.
